Educational Program

Project aims at ensuring good education to children of families of farmers who committed suicide for. Entire expenditure of this project including that on lodging, boarding, school fees, and coaching where necessary is provided. Urban people are encouraged to adopt a child from suicide affected families of famer for education purpose by bearing the cost.  In addition to above hostel facilities are provided free of cost to boys from such families at Vivekanand Chhatravas, Yavatmal and to the girl students at Tejasvini Kanya Chhatravas, Yavatmal. Besides lodging and boarding facilities efforts are made to inculcate good values and culture among the students through various daily and occasional programmes in these hostels.

Need based assistance have been provided which ranged between Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000 per child per year. Higher amount has also been provided in some cases where children were competent to go for professional courses.  The project was implemented out of the donations received from individuals and institutions by DBPM. Considering the need for such assistance and results, DBPM is proposes to cover more number of needy families which are getting added every year.
