About: Mr. Vijay Purushottam Kadre is a retired Sectional Engineer from the Water Conservation Department, Government of Maharashtra, with extensive experience in planning, administration, resource management, and rural development. He has dedicated much of his career to promoting sustainable agriculture, natural resource conservation, and community welfare. A strong advocate of organic and low-cost farming practices, Mr. Kadre has worked extensively with farming communities, particularly supporting families affected by farmer suicides. His efforts have helped rural households improve their livelihoods, enhance self-reliance, and achieve greater economic stability. As Secretary of Deendayal Seva Pratishthan, he provides dynamic leadership in the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the organization’s programs. His guidance has been instrumental in advancing initiatives related to sustainable agriculture, women’s empowerment, rural livelihoods, education, and community development. Through his practical experience, commitment to grassroots development, and deep understanding of rural challenges, Mr. Kadre continues to play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s mission of sustainable and inclusive rural transformation.
