Bhaubeej Celebration – A Ray of Hope for Farmers' Families

Bhaubeej is celebrated to express loving relationship between brother and sister. DDSP considers widows of farmer suicide affected families as their sisters. Through celebrating Bhaubeej this relationship is reafirmed every year. These sisters are reassured of DDSP support in their difficulty. Through this program, the organization blends Indian cultural values with social service, turning a festive occasion into a moment of healing and solidarity. Members of society happily contribute in the form of new clothes, sweets, etc. gifted to these sisters. The sisters eagerly await Bhaubeej programme and attend the function in large number. The workers of DDSP also visit their homes on the occasion.
