Vandhan Kendra

DDSP was instrumental in organizing tribals in groups to form five Vanadhana Kendras in Maregaon block of Yavatmal District under the Van Dhan Vikas Yojana of GOI. Tribal collectors of minor forest produce have been organised in groups of 30 each and 10 such groups form one Vandhan Kendra. They are provided various facilities for aggregation, storage, processing and marketing of the MFP. DDSP guides the Vanadhan Kendras for their proper functioning.

DDSP is actively involved in processingpackaging, branding and marketing of honey collected by the Vanadhan Kendras. We propose to form FPO for marketing various minor forest produce and organic farm produce of tribals.

Desilting of water body and depositing silt in farm land: 

DDSP excavates & desilt Nilona reservoir, Yavatmal every year for increasing water storage capacity of the reservoir. The silt is deposited in nearby farms to increase the fertility.
